Outer Banks Wedding Violin Music by Sue Artz

February 22, 2017

Every single bride and groom is different, each with their own unique tastes, and as a rule when it comes to your wedding day, we always encourage you to Make It Your Own, which can often lead to some excellent, if sometimes unexpected, musical choices requested to be performed on violin.

A classically trained concert violinist with over three decades of experience, Sue Artz performs all genres of music, from the classics to today’s hits, many of which can create on a familiar yet unique atmosphere when heard on violin.

In addition to being an award winning violinist and former vice president of the Outer Banks Wedding Association, Sue is also a bride’s best friend and “guidance counselor” in the months and weeks leading up to your big day, helping out in the planning process and calming your stress levels.

Popular song requests can range from playing the groom’s favorite movie theme for his entrance before the ceremony, or the song that was playing when you first kissed as you are officially announced as husband and wife, or maybe even a little of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” or the guitar solo during “Livin’ on a Prayer” to kick the party up a notch at your reception.

No other DJ on the Outer Banks can include a live violin accompaniment, but with Sue you get your top tier musician and a wedding professional to keep the event moving and your guests happy, as she is much more than just a DJ but an experienced MC (master of ceremonies).

You can listen to audio clips of various requested songs – including recent favorites like “I’m Yours”, “Bless the Broken Road”, “Paparazzi”, “All You Need Is Love”, and “Crazy Train” – performed on violin by Sue Artz below!
